Short-eared Owl (Asio flammeus)

Adult
When alerted, they raise the small "ears" and keep motionless. The cryptic plumage is an excellent camouflage in the open fields they inhabit, keeping hidden in the borders with low vegetation. In the last part of the sequence a second individual can be observed on the right extreme.
