Distribution: Nearctic and Neotropical Regions. Only one species in the Old World.
Habitat: Different types of forests, riversides, savannas. Always in low vegetation.
Feeding: Invertebrates, mailny insects.
Breeding: Hanging nest or in cavities. 2-10 eggs. Incubation 12-20 days. Nestling period 12-18 days.
