General features Very similar to H. leucosticta, but that one occupies low elevations and H. leucophrys occurs in more montane areas. Brown upperparts, darker on head. Grey breast, chestnut brown abdomen and vent. Very marked white superciliary line. Rest of face strongly black and white streaked.
