Geographical variation
There are 22 subspecies distributed from Mexico to north Argentina. The previous video shows race lessonii present in Costa Rica, while this one filmed in Pantanal shows simplex. All of them are alike, differing slightly in the intensity of the green of the plumage or the blue of the head.
