Nest
It is a shallow cup built with sticks and stems. They nest in dense colonies together with other ardeids, placing the nests very close one to each other in dense trees close to the water. They lay 2-4 eggs which are incubated during 22-26 days. The nestling period lasts around 30 days and more than one clutch can occur in the same season.
