Adult
Pearl grey upper parts, yellow ventral parts and neck, black crown with yellow forehead and long white ornamental occipital plumes. Blue face and base of the bill. There is no sexual dimorphism and juveniles resemble adults, salving a dirty crown and lacking occipital plumes. Frecuently solatary, it is usually observed in forested areas, feeding in shallow wet zones or along the river margins.
