Male
Both sexes are very similar to C. aenea, but C. inda is notably larger, with spoted wing coverts, barred tail and completely red underparts until the end of vent, lacking the white present in C. aenea from vent to under breast. Sexual dimorphism consists in a well visible breast band that appears on female.
