Non-breeding plumage
On upperparts, it shows a duller golden yellow than in breeding plumage, due to wear. Notable changes occur on underparts: greyish brown and streaked head, breast and flanks, white abdomen, loosing the pure black bordered of white that covers from face to vent in the breeding individuals.
