Female Highland (above 900 m) and extremely rare Dove. Greyish brown general coloration, turning to chestnut on rump and tail. Conspicuous, dark violet wing bars. Paler face and throat, black bill and roseate legs. It can be confused with C. pretiosa, but the yellow bill of this one is enough to separate them, also, they hardly coincide in altitude.
