Endemic to Costa Rica and Panama. Rufous crown stripe and white superciliary lines which contrast strongly with the black face. Pale throat and underparts, with greyish breast. Uniformly brownish grey upperparts. Despite the low quality of the sequence, the pure white superciliary lines separate it from the juvenile, which has brownish ones.
