General features
Brown upperparts and pale, non spotted underparts. Brown crest which it raises frecuently. White superciliary line that contrasts with the brown mask. Pale bill. Very similar plumage pattern to Dromococcyx phasianellus, but this one is larger in size and has strongly spotted breast.
