The white, grey and black areas of the plumage of adults are very marked, being much more uniform in juveniles. The black cap and shoulders contrast with the pure white neck, which presents very clean, well marked streaks. The bill is orange, more yellow on the base and with black culmen. Yellow iris and bluish lores.
