Habits
In Pantanal, the desdent of the water level during the dry season causes large concentrations of aquatic birds in the areas where water and food persist. Amongst other species, the Great Egrets are counted by hundreds or thousands in the enlargements of rivers, lagoons, channels and ponds. These birds are dispersed and distributed along all the plain during rainy season, when the largest wetland of the planet is formed.
