Geographical variation The 5 recognized subspecies vary slightly in the intensity of green on upperparts, the white spottig on wings and the extension of the breastband. Here are shown two of them: the female of this sequence belongs to septentrionalis, which is very similar to the nominal one, with two well marked breastbands. The videos from Brazil show race mathewsii, in which female has only one well defined breastband.
