General features
Four species on genus Pipile, all of them very similar, completely black plumaje with a wide white panel on wing, variable white on head and hanging caruncle on throat. Two of them coincide in Pantanal, almost identical, salving the color of dewlap, blue in P. cumanensis and red in P. cujubi.
