General features
Small dove with greyish general coloration, tenging to brown on upperparts and pale, slightly pinkish on underparts. Grey crown and nape. Several conspicuous dark marks on wing. Diagnostic back bill and lores. In The Gambia, it might be confused with T. afer, but note the red bill on that one.
