General features Medium sized icterid, intense yellow in all the posterior part of the trunk and a stripe on wing coverts. Rest of the plumage black, blue eye and white bill. Unmistakable in Pantanal, no similar species. Very gregarious, it forms large breeding colonies. It feeds on invertebrates, fruits and flowers.
