Female
Robust Kestrel, the most extended in the Palearctic. Chestnut brown, strongly spotted. The male has bluish grey head and tail, females are uniformly brown, more mottled. Here is shown the endemic subspecies of the occidental Canary Islands, canariensis, a bit darker than the nominal one.
