General features Almost identical to L. souleyetii, but this one occurs in mid and low altitudes, up to 1,500 m, while L. affinis replaces it from that level to timberline. Brown upperparts with chestnut wings and tail. Brown, strongly streaked underparts. Streaked head with mottled crown. Pale, thin, decurved bill.
