General features It belongs to the group of very similar Flycatchers with the same pattern of yellow underparts and brown upperparts. The size separates it from the largest ones of the group. The grey head and short superciliary line separate it from the most similar ones, M. similis and Conopias albovittatus, which have dark brown head and very marked supercilium.
