Adult
A bright blue broad ring separates the black crown from the rest of the head. Black mask with pointed end. Red iris. Greenish blue throat and small black mark in the center of breast. Greenish brown underparts and bluish green upperparts. The tail has the two central rectrices longer than the rest, the rachis has the barbs of the subterminal area weakly anchored, so they fall by abrasion leaving a racket-shape at the and of these two feathers (not shown in this individual)
