General features Endemic to Costa Rica and Panama. It belongs to a group of Tyranids with the same pattern: yellow underparts, brown upperparts, black mask and white superciliary line. It is the only one in which the white of throat and malar region are separated by a dark stripe, so it's easily distinguished from Boat-billed Flycatcher, Great Kiskadee, White-ringed Flycatcher, Social Flycatcher and Grey-capped Flycatcher.
