Adult Of a similar size, it can be confused with the Boat-billed Flycatcher (Megarynchus pitangua), which has a much wider bill and it's superciliary lines don`t meet on nape. P. sulphuratus shows a slightly contrast between the brown back and the chestnut wings and tail.
