Adult
There's no sexual dimorphism. The presence of ornamental plumes on nape, breast and back (more developed during breeding season) are diagnostic of adults. Very similar to the Little Egret (Egretta garzetta), which only displays the ornamental plumes during breeding period, and those are smaller.
