Size: Between 114 cm (Brown Pelican, Pelecanus occidentalis) and 180 cm (Dalmatian Pelican, Pelecanus crispus).
Distribution: All Biogeographic Regions salving Antarctica. Some species are migratory and other ones only carry out dispersive movements.
Habitat: Generally in coasts, also in interior wetlands.
Feeding: Mainly fish. Also amphibians, mammals and birds.
Breeding: Vegetal platform in a tree or a depression on the ground. 1-4 eggs. Incubation 1 month.
