Distribution: All continents salving Antarctica. Very varied migratory movements, from sedentary species to long dintance migrations.
Habitat: Forests and wetlands of different types.
Feeding: Invertebrates, small vertebrates, fruits, seeds and other vegetal materials.
Breeding: Very varied nests, platforms in foating vegetation, closed structures in reeds, even in low trees or bushes. 2-12 eggs. Incubation 20-30 days.
Threat status: 33 threatened species (4 Critically Endangered, 11 Endangered and 18 Vulnerable). 20 Extint and 1 Extint in the Wild. [+info] |
