Order Passeriformes 30 species in 2 genera
Size: Between 17,5 cm (Dark-throated Oriole, Oriolus xanthonotus) and 32 cm (Black-eared Oriole, Oriolus bouroensis).
Distribution: Palearctic, Afrotropical, Oriental and Australasian Regions. Only two migratory species, the rest are sedentary.
Habitat: Forestal.
Feeding: Insects and fruits.
Breeding: The nest is a cup built with vegetal fibers and placed generally in a high treetop. 2-4 eggs. Incubation 2-3 weeks. Nestling period 16-20 days.
