Size: Between 25 cm (Blue-throated Roller, Eurystomus gularis) and 40 cm (Rufous-crowned Roller, Coracias naevius).
Distribution: Palearctic, Afrotropical, Oriental and Australasian Regions. Most of the species are migratory.
Habitat: Forest, scrubland, savanna.
Feeding: Insects and small invertebrates.
Breeding: Cavities in trees, buildings or on the ground. 2-6 eggs. Incubation 18 days.
