Adult
Small, greish brown general coloration, distinctive red bill and silver grey upper head. Several diagnostic blue marks on wing. Juvenile has an scaled aspect and lacks the wing marks. Only mistakable in The Gambia and Senegal with T. abyssinicus, very similar but with black bill.
