Size: Between 9 cm (Yellow Flycatcher, Erythrocercus holochlorus) and 50 cm, including the tail, (Asian Paradise-Flycatcher, Terpsiphone paradisi).

Distribution: Afrotropical, Oriental and Australasian Regions. Salving few exceptions, they are resident species which doesn't perform migratory movements, as they inhabit tropical areas.

Habitat: Different types of forestal areas, from primary forests to open formations and savanna.

Feeding: Mainly insects and spiders. Also other invertebrates and small vertebrates.

Breeding: The nest is an open cup placed on a fork and upholstered wich lichen. 1-5 eggs. Incubation 12-18 days. Nestling period 7-20 days.
