Size: Between 9,5 cm (Lesser Greenlet, Hylophilus decurtatus) and 25 cm (Chestnut-sided Shrike-Vireo, Vireolanius melitophrys).

Distribution: Nearctic and Neotropical Regions. The species in the most tropical areas of the range are sedentary, those of the most temperate areas are migratory.

Habitat: Forestal areas, semi-open ones and sscrubland.

Feeding: Mainly arthropodes, but they also include fruits in the diet.

Breeding: The nest is an open bag hanging on branches. 2-5 eggs. Incubation 11-13 days. Nestling period 11-13 days.
