Distribution: Antarctica, New Zealand, S Australia, S Africa, S America until Peru and Galapagos Islands.

Habitat: Marine. During breeding, rocks, ice, islands and coasts.

Feeding: Crustaceans, fish, squids.

Breeding: Very simple structure using available materials in the surrounding, two species don't construct a nest, but they incubate on their feet. 1-2 eggs. Incubation 33-64 days.
