Distribution: Nearctic and Neotropical regions. Sedentary, only local post-breeding dispersive movements.

Habitat: Scrubland, secondary forest, preferably open areas, even desert habitats.

Feeding: Omnivorous, mainly fruit, seeds and insects.

Breeding: They build an upen cup in a low tree or bush. 3-4 eggs. Incubation 12-14 days.
